Yakshi is a nature spirit connected with water, fertility and forests. They have dual personalities. On one hand, they may be a harmless fairy, but there is also a darker version, the kind that haunts the wilderness and waylays.

Neither This Nor That is an exploration of identities. It questions the notion of purity through mythical hybrid creatures. Whether it is the yali that it part tiger and part elephant, or the makara, a creature that defies the land and the sea, the forms in this collection lie between worlds. Once seen as grotesque, they now echo something more human than ever — our own plural, ever-shifting selves. Kantha quilts are synonymous with this idea, each one made up of many layers of fabric. Neither This Nor That thrives in this ambiguity: inhabiting the in-between and existing as many things at once.

All our products are made in India with the help of a small group of tailors and artisans. Our raw materials are procured from Jaipur and Coimbatore.
